Cakes By Design was formed in 2004 by Amanda
and is rapidly growing into a thriving
business. Although a new company she has
over 20 years experience in the baking
and cake design industry.
On leaving school in 1984 Amanda gained
her City & Guilds qualifications in
bakery and design and went on to perfect
her craft in bakeries in Bedfordshire
and Hertfordshire. For the last 10 years
Amanda has been working as part of a team
designing and creating stunning wedding
and celebration cakes.

Now Amanda has decided to branch
out on her own.
At Cakes By Design customer satisfaction
is the main aim no matter whether you
are choosing the most elaborate wedding
cake or the most basic birthday cake.
Each cake is designed to your own specifications
and requirements, is hand decorated and
finished to an extremely high standard.
Cakes By Design is based in the beautiful
Cornish town of St Ives.
